Lock and Key is situated in a recently transformed 18th Century, Grade II listed property on Duke Street. The building is famous for once housing the lovable Liverpool rogue Maggie May, who became the title of a song by The Beatles in the “Let it Be” LP in 1969.  

The building had laid empty for the past 15 years and has been brought back to life. If you’re a fan of decadent settings, sweeping staircases, original décor with modern, quirky twists, plus sumptuous brunch and Neapolitan pizza menus designed by local chefs, craft beers and themed cocktails, you’re going to love Lock & Key.

The boutique hotel, bar and kitchen is a brand new independent venture from local Liverpool based team. Having stood empty or over a decade, the team have worked hard to convert the building while retaining original features, including the original, distinctive Georgian shop front windows.

The newest name to join the ever growing Duke Street social scene – open 9am ’til midnight, 7 days-a-week. By day L&K offers a scrumptious brunch offering from 9am-4pm. From 4pm until late, L&K offers serves out its popular Neapolitan Pizza’s, alongside its themed cocktails, local beers and fine wines. 

Maintaining its dedication to local suppliers and producers, coffee is roasted and supplied by the local Neighbourhood Coffee, beers from Higson’s and cakes via local bakers. 

Phase two of the development comes in the form of The Hotel, which will be open for business in December 2018. With 14 stunning, boutique hotel rooms, 24 hour concierge, and the perfect location, just moments away from the heart of Liverpool One, each room will be individually designed with a unique and stylish finish. The rooms contain Period style decoration with a contemporary twist.

Quirky extras include; the option to personalise your experience, from pre-filling your own mini bar, personal concierge service, mobile door access and Smart TV systems.
